Terms of Service
By using ClawPipe you agree to these terms. They cover what you can do with the service, what we promise, and what happens when things go wrong. Plain language where possible — the legalese is here because it has to be.
1. The service
ClawPipe provides an SDK and gateway that optimize LLM requests across multiple providers. "Service" means the SDK, the api.clawpipe.ai gateway, the dashboard at app.clawpipe.ai, the documentation, the playground, and the cost calculator.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret. Treat them like passwords.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for compliance with your own LLM provider terms (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
- One account per person. You can create multiple projects inside one account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ClawPipe to:
- Generate content that is illegal where you or your users are located.
- Harass, threaten, or exploit anyone, especially minors.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or disrupt the service.
- Reverse-engineer the service to build a competing product.
- Resell gateway access without a written commercial agreement.
- Exceed the rate limits of your tier through IP rotation or automation.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Plans and billing
- Free tier. 1,000 calls per day, one project. No payment required.
- Paid tiers. Monthly subscription billed in USD via LemonSqueezy. Prices and limits are listed on the pricing page.
- Refunds. Pro-rata refunds within 14 days of the most recent charge for material service failures. Contact [email protected].
- Taxes. Prices are exclusive of VAT/GST/sales tax where applicable.
- Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice via email before increasing your plan price.
5. Provider costs
ClawPipe charges for the optimization layer. Any costs you incur with upstream LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) are billed directly by those providers and are your responsibility. ClawPipe's benchmarks measure relative cost reduction — your actual provider bill depends on your traffic, prompts, and provider pricing.
6. Service availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for the gateway. Team and Enterprise plans include written SLAs. The Free and Pro tiers are offered as-is without an SLA — we will still work hard to keep them up.
7. Intellectual property
- You own your prompts, your code, and your outputs.
- ClawPipe owns the service, branding, and source code of private components.
- The SDK is open source under the license in the GitHub repository — that license applies instead of these terms for your use of the source code.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided as is. We disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. LLM outputs can be wrong, biased, or harmful — you are responsible for validating them before acting on them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClawPipe's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) USD $100 or (b) the amount you paid ClawPipe in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ClawPipe harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law.
11. Termination
- You may cancel at any time from account settings. Paid plans remain active through the current billing period.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms. We will usually give you a chance to cure first.
- On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless law requires us to retain it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ClawPipe is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We will update this page when our terms change. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via email to account holders.
